History, conditions & layout

History

A Marina Bay night race that helped define the modern “street show” in F1, running around historic and waterfront zones. A long, punishing, humid lap that tests concentration over two hours under lights.

Typical conditions

Tropical, humid, and stable heat is typical. Rain showers can be sharp; surface grip evolves slowly over the weekend; concrete-lined streets and bumps make set-up a compromise.

Track layout & design

A long, twisty, barrier-lined street course with 90-degree bends and a few high-commitment points. Bumpy, physical, and often compared to a “ballet with walls”.
