History, conditions & layout

History

A historic Dutch seaside circuit, restored and banked in places for a modern F1 return. A narrow, “old world” feel with new safety standards and passionate orange crowds in the dunes.

Typical conditions

Coastal and exposed: often windy, cool, or showery off the North Sea. Sand, dust, and spray can complicate a short lap and heavy traffic in sessions.

Track layout & design

Narrow, undulating, with banked Arie Luyendijk corner and a mix of high-commitment and tight corners. A challenge to get temperature into tyres; aggressive kerbs in places.
