History, conditions & layout
History
A legendary 7 km lap through the Ardennes, famous for Eau Rouge/Raidillon and long straights. One of the longest, most scenic, and most demanding tests of car and driver on the calendar.
Typical conditions
Ardennes weather is notorious: rain in one sector and dry in another, rapid temperature swings, and mist. A wide window across the day; micro-climate around the forest is common.
Track layout & design
End-to-end: huge elevation change, long flat-out sections, and high-speed chicanes. A low-downforce trim often balances straight-line and sector-two demands; kerb and camber punish mistakes.
